The ‘New’ Secondhand Truck
It has arrived
The new truck is 3.5 tonnes, so larger than the faithful old truck (see below.)
But it is still light enough to be used on poor roads during the wet season.
If you are able to help with fuel and running costs it would be appreciated.
The Old Truck Died
The old truck had done it all
She’d carried kids, concrete bricks, timber and steel. But most of all during the building of the 4 classroom block, she’s carried water. Lots of water.
If the slab wasn’t down before the Wet Season needed, construction couldn’t start till it was Dry, delaying completion by 5 months.
The old bore had failed at the worst time and it took months to get the new bore drilled.
The over-worked truck urgently picking up water when the bore hole failed.
